I was bad.
Saturday, we decided to drive out to Los Angeles for a day of... well, whatever...
For "breakfast" on the road, it was Starbucks. An old fashioned root beer fizze with a butter croissant.
For "lunch/dinner" in Pomona on the way home, we tried Macaroni Grill. Ahh-Maze-Zing!
Seriously, this place was like a MUCH NICER Olive Garden, for cheaper prices. Good portions on the food, we had an amazing server, food was just delicious in general. For real! Fantastic! YUMM!
Didn't get home until almost midnight, it was a long, exhausting day. I did get to meet one of my idols, Scott Michaels from Dearly Departed Tours. He also runs my favorite website of all time. Find A Death. I've been reading this website for well near 10 years now. We were down on Hollywood Blvd and I knew his shop was just a quick jump down on Sunset, so we strolled over, and lo-and-behold, he was there. We were able to look around at all the neat collectibles and memorabilia he has from celebrity deaths, talk to him for 30 min or so. Grab a picture, key chain and a memory.
(Also, read his blog... because I said so! DDT Blog)
I'll definitely be going back in a couple months to do both the "regular" Dearly Departed Tour, as well as the Manson tour. Cannot wait. This really made the entire day to LA worth the exhaustion!
I'll be jumping over to the cemetery here in Vegas tomorrow to snap a pic or two of a couple celebrity gravestones also. Annnnnnd just maybe also to the house that Tony Curtis lived in when he died. I need a pic of that too.
I'm a weirdo.
